Dear Editor
I am a mature, part time law student at Holborn College doing the Huddersfield LLB. I have a full time job and finding study time is not always easy. Despite that I have an absolute thirst for knowledge and I enjoy reading the full reports of key cases. I have found that understanding a case is seldom achieved by reading a summary of it in a materials book.
However, I discovered The Weekly Law Reports in my law library when I was researching some contract case law and I am now an avid reader of back issues and look fwd to your next edition! Your case summaries are particularly comprehensive and are great value to any committed student. It is also good to take time out and read some of the broader content.
I know time is always at a premium, especially for part-timers like me, but I would urge any student to read the full report of those key cases and see how defence and prosecution represent their clients as well as the various dicta of the presiding judges. I believe you learn more and are better placed to give a more informed answer to questions.
Keep up the excellent work.
Kind regards
Yours sincerely
