"" THE INDEXES

The Consolidated Index (The Red Book)
is a unique and invaluable research and reference tool. It is indispensable to any legal library or lawyer as an aid to locating all authoritative cases on a chosen topic or to any student for exam revision.

This unique and invaluable series of reference books commenced publication in 1951 (replacing the Law Reports Digest). It contains an index of every case reported over the past 55 years in our own publications:
The Law Reports
The Weekly Law Reports
The Industrial Cases Reports
Plus references to cases reported in:
All England Law Reports
All England Commercial Cases
All England European Cases
Lloyd's Law Reports
Road Traffic Reports
Criminal Appeal Reports
Local Government Reports
Simon's Tax Cases

Format
The cases are indexed alphabetically and by subject matter for ease of reference. The Index is the most efficient and economical way to cross-reference ICLR and other major report series and a useful guide to cross-check electronic research.

The Index also includes sections on Cases , Statutes, Statutory Instruments, European Enactments and International Conventions which have been judicially considered.

Whether you want to find cases which relate to a certain topic or cases which relate to particular parties, if the cases have been reported you will able to find them quickly and easily.

The most recent decisions are often the most difficult to find but the Index is continually brought up to date week by week in The Weekly Law Reports and the Pink Indexes circulated with the reports three times a year.

Bound volumes of the Consolidated Index are available for each decade 1951-1960, 1961-1970, 1971-1980, 1981-1990 and 1991-2000. For the first time a bound volume has also been issued for the first five years of the decade only, 2001-2005.

A paperback edition covering the years 2006/2009 is available now - how to order>>

The index will then accumulate again year on year to the end of the decade.
