Council is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee and was established
by the legal profession in 1865 for "the preparation and publication, in
a convenient form, at a moderate price, and under gratuitous professional control,
of Reports of Judicial Decisions of the Superior and Appellate Courts in England"

Statutes and The Consolidated Index to all leading series of law reports.
