University of Bristol Mooters with Peter Williamson who judged the 1st semi final event.   Christ's College Cambridge Mooters with Edward Solomons who judged the 2nd semi-final event

Bristol University and Christ's College Cambridge narrowly squeezed into the final of the WLR Mooting Competition following two intense and closely fought semi-finals.This was perhaps one of the finest examples of mooting at the highest level, and both judges acknowledged that the margin of victory in both instances was very fine and almost impossible to call. The final is sure to be a fiercely competitive affair.

Results:

University of Bristol bt University of  East Anglia

Christ's College Cambridge bt Northumbria University

The two winning teams now meet at Gray's Inn on the 19th March to finally decide this years winners. If you would like to attend then please email us below.

The aim of the competition is to encourage all law students to try their advocacy skills at mooting, not just those students with aspirations to be called to the bar. As a registered charity and the publisher of the most cited and authoritative law reports the ICLR is committed to the educational development of our future lawyers. The competition now in it's fourth year is open to undergraduate law students or CPE students. Special thanks to Justis, The Law Society Charity, SAHCA, Cambridge University Press, for very kindly sponsoring the 2006/7 competition and for all their continued support.

If you would like to enter a team or sponsor the competition then please contact: Dan Collacott on 020 7242 6471 or email: DanC@iclr.co.uk
