COMPETITION TIMETABLE

As all institutions follow different examination timetables we have endeavoured to allow approximately 4 weeks between rounds to allow teams adequate time for preparation and execution.

If a team is unable to compete within the dates set out below they will forfeit the round to their opposing team, unless both teams agree on an alternative date which must be confirmed by The ICLR.

Please note that extensions will only be granted in exceptional casesand must be approved in advance.It is the responsibility of the winning team to inform the ICLR of the result within 4 working days of the Moot.

Below is the outline of the competition dates – these may be altered slightly at a later date.


Registration forms for the Mooting Competition will be released on 11th August 2008

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS
9th October 2008

FIRST ROUND – To be completed by 13th November
32 TEAMS

SECOND ROUND – To be completed by 18th December
16 TEAMS

QUARTER-FINALS – To be completed by 5th February
8 TEAMS

SEMI-FINALS – 5th March
4 TEAMS (To be held at The Law Society)

FINALS - 2nd April
2 TEAMS (To be held at Gray's Inn)
